Here is the HAW schedule of events.  We invite you to participate in any or all of them.

Friday, January 5, 2007:

11:00 am–2:00 pm:  HAW literature table, in or near the registration area

4:30–6:00 pm:  HAW membership meeting.  Location: Hyatt Regency hotel, Montreal Room (Election of Steering Committee)

8:30 pm:  AHA General Meeting (presided over by HAW member Barbara Weinstein, AHA president-elect)

Saturday, January 6, 2007:

11:30 am – 1:30 pm:  Panel “The Historian in a Time of Crisis: Staughton Lynd, Yale University, and the Vietnam War” with HAW Steering Committee members Carl Mirra and Staughton Lynd among the panelists.  Location: Marriott hotel, International Ballroom 7

4:45 pm:  AHA Business Meeting (at which HAW-initiated resolution on the Iraq War will be presented). Location: Hilton hotel, Fulton/Cobb Rooms (Resolution on the War and Repression prepared for presentation at the 1969 convention of the American Historical Association)

6:00 – 9:00 pm - Screening and discussion of Ken Loach’s film “The Wind That Shakes the Barley,” arranged by HAW Steering Committee member Van Gosse and sponsored by the Radical History Review

Sunday, January 7, 2007:
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Panel “Practicing History, Contending with Controversy: Historians on Our Work, Early Twenty-First Century” with several HAW members among the panelists.  Location: Hilton hotel, Grand Salon C
